She joins me in observance of National Emotional Wellness Month to share what it means to her and how she facilitates related assistance via her consultancy. Elaina also offers many suggestions as it pertains to how parents and guardians can help prepare their child/ren to be emotionally well in the midst of the pandemic and beyond.

Specifically, she shares her usage of the "sinking fund" process, the cash envelope system, addresses planning for one-time expenses, how couples may facilitate their budgeting and saving matters among others.
Brandon Ferris, the Owner of Quintessential Consulting, LLC. and Killer Bee Comics joined me to share some of his journey as a Business Owner. He also offered some great advice as it relates to wellness and self-care. Besides, business owners are no good to prospective customers if not in the right frame of mind or not staying on top of their overall health.
One of my dearest friends, Lori Blander, joined me in observance of "Self-Improvement Month". Throughout the conversation, she passionately painted detailed pictures of what "Self-Improvement" looks like to her. Lori also emphasized what people wanting to improve themselves should first consider...focus on their "WHY?".
Dr. Dennis Carpenter shares a wealth of helpful information regarding what true Self-Improvement looks like from his professional lenses. He elaborates on the Backward Design concept...a model for designing instructional materials where the instructor or designer begins the design process with a focus on the desired results.
Ms. Selma White joined me from Elizabeth City, NC in observance of National Black Business Month. She is a Mother, Grandmother, retired Army Sergeant, Owner of Stella’s Convenience Store, and a seasoned Real Estate Investor. Ms. White aspired to be a businesswoman early in life as she saw it as an opportunity to assist and invest in her local community.
Alonzo “Chef Gator” Jones is a man on the move, especially when it comes to food! Our conversation covered a lot of areas, but we kicked it off talking about how his love to cook came about. His go-to back in the day was his infamous cheese grits…having his cousin as his food-taster and validator. However, his wife was his biggest motivator in pursuing his passion for cooking.
Ms. Brianna Roberson is an independent retailer and the epitome of what black business is all about! She has experienced living in several midwestern cities throughout the state of Iowa and the Kansas City, MO area. However, after being away from family amid the pandemic, she decided to move back to her beloved hometown of Waynesboro, Ga.
